Lambeth Councillor visits the Children’s Centre

We were delighted to welcome Lambeth Councillor Jennifer Brathwaite to our wonderful Children’s Centre this week. Cllr Brathwaite is deputy Leader of the Council with responsibility for Children & Young People. Please check the centre’s website for information about our fantastic programme of events.

Early Years settling in

All our new children in Nursery and Reception Classes have joined us and it is lovely to see them all settled and happy in the Early Years classrooms.  

Children in Need

A very big thank you to everyone who dressed up in spots and donated to Children in Need. Through your generosity we have raised over £200 to help and support disadvantaged children all over the UK. The children loved playing ‘Splat the Teacher’ and our early years children enjoyed Pudsey face painting.

Tate Modern Open Studio visit

Today, Hockney Class attended an Early Years Open Studio session at the Tate Modern. This was a fascinating exploration of perspective and viewpoints. London Aquarium Visit

The reception classes enjoyed a rewarding trip to the London aquarium. They experienced an educational aquatic display where they learnt about the importance of recycling and fun facts about deep sea creatures. The children were also very lucky to feed the Rays, and even paid a trip to the arctic to visit Elsa the penguin. …

Our new playground is open!

New playground update

The main area of the new playground should be ready by Monday! We also expect the Early Years’ Play Area to be open by the end of the week. Thank you for all your patience while the work was taking place, I am sure you will agree it has been well worth the wait.
