It was amazing to see so many children dressed up as their favourite characters for the 20th World Book Day. At Henry Fawcett we love reading and our classrooms and library are full of rich, exciting books to fire up the children’s’ imaginations. Children dressed as characters from a wide range of books including traditional tales in Early Years, Horrible Histories, and Julia Donaldson. The Amazon Rainforest was brought to life by Year 5 and Roald Dahl characters took over in Year 3 for the day; the dreadful Mr & Mrs Twit even joined us! Thank you to parents for helping to make some fantastic costumes. Please remember to hear your child read every day; research shows this will make all the difference to their education.
